Oppo has expanded its K15 smartphone family with two new models, the Oppo K15s and Oppo K15x, targeting users who want large batteries, smooth displays and modern smartphone features without paying premium prices.
The latest additions strengthen Oppo’s position in the budget and mid-range smartphone market. Both models focus heavily on battery capacity while offering different display technologies and screen sizes.
The Oppo K15s is closely related to the Oppo A7 Pro in terms of its core specifications and overall design. Meanwhile, the Oppo K15x shares much of its hardware foundation with the Oppo K14, but Oppo has equipped it with a 6,500mAh battery.
The two smartphones are designed for different preferences, particularly when it comes to screen quality and display technology.
The Oppo K15s features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The panel also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, providing smoother scrolling, animations and compatible gaming experiences.
Its AMOLED technology should also offer stronger contrast and deeper blacks compared with traditional LCD panels. This makes the K15s the more display-focused option between the two newly launched smartphones.
The Oppo K15x, on the other hand, comes with a larger 6.75-inch IPS LCD display. It has an HD+ resolution and also supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
Although the K15x uses an LCD panel rather than AMOLED, its larger screen and high refresh rate are aimed at users who prioritize screen size and smoother everyday navigation.
Battery life is another major selling point for the new K15 series phones. The K15x comes with a substantial 6,500mAh battery, giving it a clear advantage for users who spend long hours watching videos, browsing social media or using mobile applications.
The K15s also belongs to the large-battery segment, making both models particularly appealing to consumers who prefer longer usage between charging sessions.
In terms of appearance, Oppo is offering different color choices for the two smartphones. The K15s is available in Purple and Grey, while the K15x comes in White and Purple.
The launch of the K15s and K15x also shows Oppo’s strategy of expanding an existing smartphone series with devices aimed at different price and feature preferences. Rather than offering identical specifications, the company has positioned the two phones around different display and battery combinations.
For buyers considering a new affordable Android phone, the Oppo K15s stands out with its AMOLED panel and Full HD+ resolution, while the K15x offers a larger display and a particularly high-capacity 6,500mAh battery.
The new models could attract users who want modern features without moving into the higher-priced smartphone category. Their 120Hz displays and large batteries are among the key specifications likely to influence purchasing decisions.
As Oppo continues to expand its K-series portfolio, the K15s and K15x add more choices for consumers looking for a balance between screen performance, battery endurance and affordability.
