WhatsApp to Introduce Real-Time Monitoring for Linked Devices

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to monitor activity on their linked devices in real time, further strengthening account security and transparency. The feature is currently in development for Android and has not yet been released for beta users.

As multi-device usage becomes more common, WhatsApp has been steadily enhancing its linked device functionality. This allows users to access their accounts across smartphones, tablets, and desktops without relying on a single primary device. However, with increased accessibility comes a greater need for robust monitoring tools.

The upcoming feature is expected to give users better visibility into how their account is being used across connected devices. This could include tracking activity such as logins, message access, or session details, helping users quickly identify any unauthorized usage.

Security has become a major focus for WhatsApp in recent updates. While the platform already offers end-to-end encryption and device management options, real-time monitoring would add another layer of protection. Users would be able to stay informed about their account activity without needing to manually check linked sessions.

This development aligns with growing global concerns around digital privacy and account safety. With messaging apps playing a central role in both personal and professional communication, users are increasingly demanding features that provide control and transparency.

Although the feature is still under development, it reflects WhatsApp’s ongoing commitment to improving user security. Once rolled out, it could significantly enhance confidence among users who rely on the platform across multiple devices.

For now, users can expect further updates as the feature moves closer to testing and eventual release, potentially setting a new standard for security in messaging applications.
