Samsung Expands One UI 8.5 Beta to More Galaxy Devices

Samsung has officially expanded its One UI 8.5 beta program, bringing the upcoming software update to a wider range of Galaxy devices. The move signals the company’s continued focus on refining user experience and testing new features ahead of a stable release.

The beta program is now available for several popular models, including the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, as well as foldable devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5. Additionally, mid-range users can also participate through the Samsung Galaxy A36, making the beta more accessible across different price segments.

The rollout is currently limited to select markets, including India, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Eligible users in these regions can register for the beta through the Samsung Members app, where a dedicated banner will appear once access is enabled. As with most beta rollouts, availability is being released in phases, so some users may experience delays.

One of the key highlights of One UI 8.5 is the introduction of enhanced file-sharing capabilities similar to Apple’s AirDrop. Through Samsung’s Quick Share feature, users can transfer files more seamlessly between supported Galaxy devices. This functionality is already being optimized for newer models such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, Samsung Galaxy S24 family, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6.

This expansion reflects Samsung’s strategy of involving a broader user base in testing new features, ensuring improved stability and performance before the official rollout. It also highlights the brand’s push to maintain consistency across its flagship, foldable, and mid-range device ecosystems.

Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 8.5 beta program will continue to expand to additional Galaxy devices in the coming weeks. For users eager to experience the latest features early, enrolling in the beta offers a glimpse into the future of Samsung’s software innovation.
