Samsung enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the next flagship series, the Galaxy S26, with rumors and leaks hinting at exciting updates. Early information suggests familiar designs, enhanced performance, and a potential release in early 2026, following Samsung’s typical winter launch schedule. The Galaxy S25 debuted in February, and the Galaxy S24 arrived in late January, indicating that the Galaxy S26 will likely launch in January or February.
Design leaks have started surfacing online. Well-known leaker @onleaks shared images and a video on X, showcasing dummy units of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The design closely resembles the S25 Ultra but features a left-aligned camera bump, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which could cause slight wobbling when placed flat. However, alternative leaks shared by Android Police show the S26 Ultra without this bump, leaving the final design uncertain.
Additional leaked images of dummy units show the base Galaxy S26 alongside the Ultra model, both featuring an oval-shaped camera island with three cameras. For the first time, the S26 and S26 Ultra reportedly share identical corner curvature, indicating a more unified design across the lineup. Dummy units in white and black provide insight into the shape and size, while a short hands-on video further demonstrates the layout.
Regarding the Galaxy S26 lineup, earlier rumors suggested rebranding the base model as the S26 Pro, dropping the Plus variant, and introducing an Edge model. These plans appear to be scrapped, with Samsung expected to stick with the traditional trio: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Galaxy S26 Edge remains uncertain and may be released separately or canceled.
Spec-wise, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, also known as Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, with Samsung’s own Exynos chips powering devices in select regions. Reports indicate that the Exynos 2600 chipset will be used in South Korea, while Snapdragon variants will be sold globally.
Fans can expect a continuation of Samsung’s high-performance standards, refined designs, and cutting-edge hardware in the Galaxy S26 series. With leaks continuing to surface, anticipation is building for Samsung’s early 2026 launch.
