Jazz and Samsung Partner to Expand AI Smartphones and 5G Adoption in Pakistan

Jazz and Samsung Electronics have signed a strategic partnership to make artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled smartphones more accessible to consumers across Pakistan. The agreement was signed at Samsung’s global headquarters in Suwon, South Korea, with a focus on device affordability, Galaxy AI access, digital payments, and the expansion of next-generation mobile technology.

The collaboration brings together Jazz, Pakistan’s leading connectivity provider under JazzWorld, and Samsung’s expertise in smartphone innovation and artificial intelligence. Both companies aim to help more Pakistanis access advanced mobile devices through flexible purchasing options and improved digital services.

A major focus of the partnership is reducing the upfront cost of upgrading to compatible Samsung Galaxy AI and 5G-enabled smartphones. The companies plan to explore instalment plans and trade-in programmes that could make advanced devices more affordable for consumers who might otherwise find premium smartphones financially out of reach.

The initiative is also expected to encourage wider use of Galaxy AI features in everyday activities, including learning, professional work, communication, and content creation. By improving access to capable smartphones, the partnership aims to support greater participation in Pakistan’s growing digital economy.

Kazim Mujtaba, President of Jazz GSM, said that making AI accessible requires affordable devices, reliable connectivity, and a convenient user experience. He explained that the partnership is intended to help more Pakistanis use smartphones to learn, work, and create while exploring opportunities to make everyday digital payments more convenient through Samsung Wallet.

The companies also highlighted the potential role of digital financial services in supporting financial inclusion. Greater access to digital payment solutions could help consumers participate more easily in online transactions, although the availability of Samsung Wallet features will depend on supported services and implementation arrangements.

Ryan Na, Managing Director of Samsung Electronics Pakistan, said the collaboration would combine Samsung’s mobile technology with Jazz’s connectivity, retail network, and customer reach. He added that the companies aim to make Galaxy devices more attainable through flexible ownership options, enhanced consumer engagement, and improved access to premium smartphone experiences.

As part of the initiative, selected Jazz outlets are expected to provide customers with opportunities to experience Samsung’s latest mobile innovations. Consumers will be able to explore Galaxy AI features and receive guidance on device financing and connectivity options.

After-sales support is another component of the partnership. Providing assistance throughout the device ownership experience could help consumers better understand and use the available smartphone features while addressing concerns related to purchasing and maintaining advanced devices.

The agreement also places emphasis on 5G-ready smartphones. Wider adoption of compatible devices could prepare consumers and businesses to benefit from next-generation mobile connectivity as 5G services become available in their areas.

Potential applications include faster digital communication, improved productivity, content creation, and entertainment experiences. However, access to actual 5G services will depend on network availability, compatible devices, and the relevant service arrangements.

Jazz and Samsung also plan to explore bundled device and connectivity offerings for corporate and enterprise customers. These packages could help businesses equip employees with compatible smartphones and connectivity services to support workplace communication and digital operations.

The partnership reflects a broader effort to connect mobile innovation with affordability and wider technology adoption in Pakistan. By combining device financing opportunities, AI-enabled smartphones, connectivity services, and potential digital payment solutions, both companies aim to make advanced mobile technology more accessible to consumers and businesses.

Further details about specific device models, financing terms, trade-in eligibility, and the rollout of individual services will determine how consumers can benefit from the agreement in practice.
