Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to launch HyperOS 4 later this year alongside Android 17, sparking anticipation among millions of users eager to learn whether their devices will be eligible for the next major software update.
While Xiaomi has yet to officially unveil HyperOS 4 or release a confirmed list of supported devices, early reports suggest the upcoming version could introduce more significant changes than the company’s typical annual software upgrades. The update is expected to focus on performance improvements, enhanced artificial intelligence features, better battery optimization, and a more refined user experience.
As of now, the projected list of eligible smartphones is based on Xiaomi’s existing software update policies and support timelines. Devices that are nearing the end of their update cycle or whose eligibility remains uncertain have not been included in preliminary reports.
Flagship models are expected to be among the first devices to receive Android 17 with HyperOS 4. This includes recent premium smartphones from Xiaomi’s flagship lineup, as well as selected foldable devices and high-end tablets.
Several models from the Redmi and POCO series are also expected to qualify for the update, particularly devices launched with extended software support commitments. Mid-range and upper mid-range smartphones released within the last two to three years are likely to remain eligible under Xiaomi’s update roadmap.
Industry observers believe HyperOS 4 could bring deeper integration between Xiaomi smartphones, tablets, wearables, and smart home products. The company has increasingly focused on creating a connected ecosystem, and the next software version may further strengthen cross-device functionality.
Users are advised to wait for Xiaomi’s official announcement before making decisions regarding device upgrades. Software support policies can vary by region and model, meaning eligibility may differ even among devices with similar specifications.
Although the final list remains unconfirmed, flagship devices such as the latest Xiaomi numbered series, Redmi K-series phones, and newer POCO models are widely expected to receive Android 17. Older devices that have already received multiple major Android upgrades may not be included in the rollout.
The official HyperOS 4 announcement is expected later this year, at which point Xiaomi will provide complete details regarding supported devices, rollout schedules, and new features. Until then, users can only rely on update policies and industry leaks to estimate whether their smartphones will be part of the next-generation software experience.
With Android 17 and HyperOS 4 expected to introduce meaningful improvements, Xiaomi users worldwide will be closely watching for confirmation on which devices will receive the highly anticipated update.
